It’s gonna be an epic evening for all to enjoy while helping provide new winter coats for the kids in Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 and Widefield School District 3!!! Guest’s will enjoy free wine, beer and food all night! Congratulations to the Fountain Police Department Explorers who participated in the 2026 Law Enforcement Explorer Post Advisor’s Association of Colorado (LEEPAAC) Conference. The conference brought together 15 law enforcement agencies from Colorado and Texas, with 122 Cadets/Explorers competing as part of 30 teams in a variety of individual and team events. The Fountain Police Department Explorers demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and professionalism, earning the following honors:

Congratulations to the Fountain-Fort Carson High School Boys and Girls Track and Field Teams and the individual athletes who competed in the 2026 Colorado State Track and Field Championships. Both teams demonstrated exceptional courage, determination, and perseverance throughout the season and at the state championships. The FFCHS Girls Track and Field Team finished third in the Class 5A division with 44 points, while the Boys Team finished 19th with 16 points.

The FFCHS Girls Team celebrated three individual state medalists, including two state champions:
-Alexa Queen – State Champion, 300m Hurdles; 3rd Place, 100m Hurdles
-Kiara Humphrey – State Champion, High Jump
-Amiyah Nash – 2nd Place, Discus

Congratulations to Ms. Christina Tidey on being named the 2026 Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher of the Year. Ms. Tidey has made a significant impact at Carson Middle School and throughout FFC8 through her innovative STEM and CTE programs, strong industry partnerships, and unwavering commitment to student success. Through her leadership, Ms. Tidey has expanded career-connected learning opportunities, strengthened family and community engagement, and inspired colleagues to expand CTE opportunities across the district. Her dedication, leadership, and passion for empowering students exemplify the very best of Career and Technical Education. We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition of her outstanding contributions to our students and community.
