Jordahl Elementary School

History of Jordahl

Jordahl opened its doors in 1988 and was named after FFC8 administrator, Orv Jordahl. At that time, the new Fountain community of Countryside was under construction, and Link Road was the only way to get to Jordahl. The District built a pool complex soon after Jordahl opened, so Jimmy Camp Road ended at the pool complex accessed by way of Link Road. Jordahl is now a close n

eighbor of Fountain-Fort Carson High School, and it is surrounded by housing on all sides. New construction was started in the Fall of 2015, and completed in the Fall of 2016. The new construction included the addition of classrooms, a larger cafeteria, a stage, and a new office area. Team Jordahl

Join FFC8 for the "From the Frontier to the Future" 5K fun run and walk. Dress as your favorite historical figure and help bring history to life while supporting programs that strengthen our community.

Time: Packet Pickup is 8 am-8:45 am, race begins at 9 am

Early registration deadline: September 12, 2026, to guarantee a t-shirt. T-shirts available for participants 5 and up. Please arrive at the race no later than 8:30 a.m.

Cost: $30 (age 12+), $25 (age 5-11), Free (age 4 and under).
