Join FFC8 for the "From the Frontier to the Future" 5K fun run and walk. Dress as your favorite historical figure and help bring history to life while supporting programs that strengthen our community.

Date: September 26, 2026
Time: Packet Pickup is 8 am-8:45 am, race begins at 9 am
Place: Trojan Arena, 10725 Trojan Point, Fountain, CO 80817

Early registration deadline: September 12, 2026, to guarantee a t-shirt. T-shirts available for participants 5 and up. Please arrive at the race no later than 8:30 a.m.

Cost: $30 (age 12+), $25 (age 5-11), Free (age 4 and under).

High Schoolers: Want to lead and make a difference?

FFC8 is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking youth to join the Youth Advisory Council (YAC)! Members work with one another to develop leadership skills and prevent va**ng in our schools and community.

Commitment:
Attend 6 day-long meetings throughout the school year
Support community outreach
Lead school initiatives
Communicate and attend meetings outside of the school day.
$300 will be provided to participating youth members. Funding provided by the Va**ng Prevention Education Grant.

Applications close on August 24 at 3:00 p.m.

Please joins us in welcoming our new Principal of Welte Big Picture High School, Kaitlyn DeNardo. 👏

Mrs. DeNardo was formerly a member of the Carson Middle School community as an Instructional Coach. She most recently held a role as an Assistant Principal.

Mrs. DeNardo is honored to come back to FFC8, and especially in her new role at Welte, which she considers a profound and unique opportunity to learn from, center, and amplify student voices in service to their learning and their futures.

Location: Fountain Valley YMCA, 326 Alabama Ave. Fountain

Come meet your principal/ admin team! And get a backpack filled with supplies!

Note: Students have to be enrolled in FFC8. Backpacks and supplies are limited. First come, first served. No preregistration required.
