On Tuesday morning, the District Board Room
was filled with smiles, cheers and a lot of gratitude during our annual Teacher of the Year Breakfast! In partnership with the Rotary Club of Fountain Valley, we took a moment to honor 10 incredible educators, one from each school site who go above and beyond for our students every single day.

As each principal took the podium, they shared personal anecdotes of innovation in the classroom, mentorship on the playground, and the tireless "behind-the-scenes" work these teachers do for their students. While only ten teachers received the official title this year, the event served as a celebration of the high standards of excellence held by all staff throughout our 10 school sites.

A huge, thank you to Rotary Club of Fountain Valley, CA for its generous support! They provided a beautiful breakfast and commemorative plaques for each recipient.

TK & Kindergarten Information Meetings are coming up on Thursday, February 19, at 1:30 pm!

Families are invited to attend FVSD’s Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Welcome events to gather helpful information and experience the school community firsthand as their child prepares for takeoff into this exciting new chapter.

During the event, families will have the opportunity to:

✈️Meet the principal and teachers who will guide and support their child

✈️Hear from staff about important enrollment details and next steps

✈️Learn about FVSD’s before- and after-school child care programs

✈️Bring soon-to-be students along to tour the classroom and playground, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and ready for day one

Hosted at each of our seven elementary schools, these welcome events provide a warm introduction to the people, programs, and supportive learning environments that help every student launch a strong educational journey.

FVSD is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to serve as a central hub for our day-to-day bus operations. From creating and adjusting routes to supporting special education transportation needs to coordinating with schools, drivers, and families, this position plays a key role in helping students get to and from school safely. The Dispatcher will also partner closely with our soon-to-be-hired Transportation Supervisor to strengthen systems, improve communication, and ensure exceptional service districtwide.
