I used to believe that eschatology (one’s belief in the Last Days) was a secondary doctrine. I don’t anymore…not in 2021. What sets the Bible apart from every other, so-called, religious book is that only the Word of God is able to foretell future events. It’s really the greatest evidence that the Bible is real and that the God of the Bible is the true and the living God. Jesus said, “I tell you these things before they happen, so when they happen, you will believe.”

Many people, and many pastors even, think that Biblical prophecy is unimportant and pay no attention to it. That is a foolish mistake. One-third of the entire Bible is Bible prophecy so to ignore it means to ignore one-third of the Bible.

Many think that they are at liberty to choose their eschatology based on preference, much the same way people have preference choices in choosing a car. Some folks like Buicks and some like Fords. Some prefer Pretrib and some “like” post. Truth doesn’t work that way. We are responsible to study to show ourselves approved by God, workman that need not be ashamed.

The fact is, Jesus made clear, time and again, that He could come for His Bride, the Church, at any moment and that His followers’ very clear instructions were to Be Ready and Watch!

“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning, and you yourselves be like men who wait for their Master, when He will return from the wedding, that when He knocks, they may open to Him immediately. Blessed are the servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching” (Luke 12:35-37).

The only belief in the End-Times scenario that is logical without allegorizing, ignoring, or twisting Scripture is the clear teaching of a Pretibulational Rapture that can happen at any second. The Lord Jesus will come, as He promised, to rescue His Bride before a Tribulation occurs on this planet, the likes of which this world has never seen. What’s happening now is a Sunday picnic compared to what’s coming.

Friend, are you ready for the Bridegroom’s return? The signs of His coming are everywhere. Some need to repent of sin and compromise. Some need to be saved. You can do that by simply asking Jesus Christ to be your Lord and by faith trust that He took the just penalty for your sins when He went to the Cross. He was your substitute for the death you deserve. Ask Him to be Lord right now, and be delivered from the Wrath that is to come. Some need to finally carry out what the Spirit has been prompting them for a very long time.,..Get out and tell people the Lord is coming and do it like you believe it’s true.

The belief in the Rapture is not a secondary doctrine. It’s obeying the Master by taking Him at His Word. Maranatha!
