🏖️🌊 Beach Getaway Week at Lofty! 🐚☀️

Our young artists brought a little piece of the beach to life with this fun seagull mixed media artwork! 🎨

As part of our Beach Getaway Summer Camp, campers:
✏️ Practiced directed drawing to create their seagulls
🎨 Used acrylic paint to add color and detail
💧 Experimented with watercolor + salt to create beautiful ocean textures
🏖️ Tore paper bags to create their own sandy beach

The result? A colorful seaside scene filled with creativity, texture, and lots of summer fun! 🌴🌊💙

We brought the beach vibes to summer camp! 🌊 Our campers got creative with colorful surfboards, seashells, and tropical sunset art, turning simple materials into their own little pieces of paradise. 🏄‍♀️🐚🌅

🐛💨 STEM Caterpillar Races at Lofty! 💨🐛

Who knew a little paper caterpillar could turn into a STEM challenge? 🤩

Our students designed and built their own paper caterpillars, then used nothing but a straw and their breath to make them crawl across the table and race to the finish line! 🏁

This fun hands-on activity introduced kids to:
🔹 Science: Exploring how air and force create movement
🔹 Technology: Using simple tools to make their caterpillars move
🔹 Engineering: Designing, folding, and adjusting their caterpillars for speed
🔹 Math: Comparing distances, timing races, and figuring out which designs moved fastest

Learning doesn’t always happen at a desk! At Lofty, we love turning creativity, curiosity, and a little friendly competition into hands-on STEM learning. 💚✨

🎨We wrapped up our Inspiring Artists week with the incredible Yayoi Kusama!

Known as the “Queen of Polka Dots,” Yayoi Kusama is famous for her bold patterns, colorful creations, and love of repeating dots. Inspired by her unique style, our young artists designed their own 3D polka-dot pumpkins, each one bursting with creativity and personality! 🎃✨

From Monet to Keith Haring to Kusama, our campers discovered that every artist has a unique way of seeing the world, and so do they. ❤️

Known for his bold black lines, vibrant colors, and energetic figures, Keith Haring believed that art should be for everyone. ❤️

Our young artists explored his playful style by creating their own colorful masterpieces filled with movement, imagination, and self-expression.

Every piece tells a story, and we love seeing each child’s creativity come to life!

🌎✈️ Around the World Camp: France 🇫🇷

Bonjour from our final destination! 🇫🇷 Our campers wrapped up their journey around the world by sampling delicious French pastries and creating adorable paper craft crêpes topped with their favorite fruit combinations. 🍓🍌🫐✨

What an unforgettable week of exploring different cultures through food, creativity, and hands-on learning!

From 🇯🇵 Japan to 🇮🇹 Italy to 🇰🇷 South Korea and finally 🇫🇷 France, our passports may be pretend, but the memories are real. 🌍💙

Annyeong! 🇰🇷 Our campers made a stop in South Korea to sample some tasty Korean treats before getting creative with paper craft Buldak noodles and colorful Korean popsicles. 🍜

Ciao, Italy! 🇮🇹 Our campers explored one of the world’s most delicious destinations by tasting classic Italian treats and creating their own paper pizzas with all their favorite toppings. 🍕❤️

From sweet bites to creative crafts, we’re discovering that every country has a unique story and flavor to share! 🌍✨

🌏✈️ Around the World Camp: Japan 🇯🇵

Our passports are stamped and our first stop is Japan! 🇯🇵✨ Campers sampled different flavors of Pocky, picked their favorites, and designed their very own custom Pocky boxes to take home. 🍓🍫🎌

Learning about new cultures is even sweeter when you get to taste them! 🍡 Next stop… where are we headed? 👀🌍
