We know what we’re stepping into.

With - Can You Handle the Truth?,
We are choosing to sit down and talk about the things people don’t always want to talk about.

Hard things.
Uncomfortable things.
Things the world has redefined, softened, excused, or simply decided aren’t true anymore.

And we’re going to bring them back to one place:

The Word of God.

Not our opinions as the final authority.
Not what’s popular.
Not what makes everybody comfortable.
But
Truth

There will be people who love us and pray for us.
There will be people in our corner who know our hearts.
There will be naysayers
And sadly- there will be people waiting for an opportunity to tear us apart.

And we’re not naive about what can come with that.
We understand the target.
We know there will be those who stir up …
It’s already happening ..
There will be
People who don’t like us.
People who will talk.
People who believe the worst and carry the narrative to others.
People who may try to discredit our character or dig through our pasts looking for something to use against us.

Let us just save somebody some time… lol

We both have a past.

We’re sinners saved by grace.

We’ve both made mistakes.
We’ve both gotten things wrong.
We’ve both needed forgiveness, mercy, correction and redemption.

You don’t have to dig very deep to discover that we aren’t perfect.

We’ll tell you ourselves.

But the beautiful thing about the Gospel is that God has never required perfect people before He could use them.
Have you actually read those parts in His Word? It’s hope. He doesn’t require we have it all together or have made a perfect example… He uses jacked up messy people and
He requires obedience.

So if somebody wants to talk, let them talk.
If someone feels the need to shine a beacon on a scar and call it ugly, let the wound ooze grace

If somebody wants to slander our names, we’ll let God handle our names.

If somebody wants to bring up who we used to be, we’ll gladly tell you about the God who met us there.

Because we aren’t called to spend this season defending ourselves.
No.
This is called “Can You Handle The Truth?”
And the Truth
We need to take our eyes off those things and remember
We’re called to something higher.
Something holier.
Something only we can walk out because God handed it to us.

And we intend to obey.

That means there will be conversations on Can You Handle the Truth? that may make some people uncomfortable.

We won’t water down Scripture to make it easier to swallow.
We won’t compromise truth for acceptance.

But hear this part too…
We don’t have to be hateful to be unwavering. And we won’t be. It’s not our heart.
We don’t have to be cruel to be courageous.
And we won’t be. God changed our hearts
But
We can speak truth plainly, boldly and biblically while still remembering that every person listening is someone Jesus died for.

Every. Person.
And He love them.
So - so will we.

So as we step into this…

Pray for us.
Pray that we stay humble.
Pray that we stay teachable.
Pray that we never confuse our opinions with His Word.
Pray that when pressure comes, we don’t compromise.
Pray that when criticism comes, we don’t become distracted.
Pray that God keeps our motives clean and our feet planted.
For protection and peace as we pursue with purpose a call that is for this time. Right now. Right were we are. Just as we are .
Someone needs to hear Truth.

And if you’re in our corner…

Tell us.

Because sometimes the people standing on the front line need to hear the voices behind them saying,
Keep going.
We’re praying.
We’ve got your six.

We know there is a cost to doing this and
We’ve just decided obedience is worth it.

We ain’t afraid to go there

And we won’t discuss none of it without goin through the lens of Truth.
And listen …
We don’t add to the Word.
We don’t take away from it.
But we sure don’t soften it to make it more comfortable.

God’s Word is Truth. Absolute Truth.

We have a new podcast coming soon called Can You Handle the Truth?

And we’re going there.

The direction the world is headed.
The hard stands Christians are going to have to take.
No-compromise faith.
Biblical beliefs that aren’t always popular.
Things you may not want to believe are true… but Scripture says otherwise.

We’ll talk about them plainly.

Not hatefully.
Not harshly.
But we won’t water them down either.

There’s a difference between speaking Truth in love and compromising Truth to keep people comfortable.

We choose Truth.
We stand in Truth.
And we stand on Truth.

We will even have guests from time to time… because we also want to be a safe place for those who have encounters, to land , and be heard and not ridiculed … able to tell their stories of interactions with Bigfoot or other Cryptids
