TOPS Advantage Mentoring-Fostoria TOPS Mentoring-Fostoria has a mission is to provide a realistic and balanced mentoring program to at risk students in grade 6-8 in Fostoria City Schools.

The Mission of TOPS
advantage Mentoring-Fostoria is to provide a realistic and balanced mentoring program. To provide students time with caring adults who are willing to offer their friendship, support, advice and example. The program will focus on “At Risk” kids in grades 6th-8th that attend “Fostoria City Schools” who are statistically pre-disposed to academic failure, low self-esteem, depressi

on, bullying, truancy and poverty. TOPS a nonprofit organization will serve as lead agency, in partnership with Fostoria City Schools. National Parent Academy and Higher Ground Ministries Church will also serve as primary partners. In the first year, TOPS-F and its partners will serve 40 students; 25 students in the 6th and 7th grade and 15 students in the 8th grade; and parents of the most at risk students. TOPS-F will utilize the “Winning Futures Mentoring Program” an evidenced based curriculum focusing on life skills, goal setting and strategic planning.

All TOPS-Fostoria mentees/mentors are invited to come out and joins us for our quiz bowl competition tonight at game night. Higher Ground Church 6:30-7:45 PM. Members of the winning team will receive certificates. It should be a lot of fun and educational, hope to see you all there.

TOPS Thursday game night and study table will be cancelled tonight, due to weather and school cancellation today.

Please remember to join us next Tuesday 12/19/17 at 6:00 for TOPS Christmas Caroling and pot luck. Flyers were sent home with kids in school mail. Hope to see everyone there.
