Yet among the Indy Metro area school districts, the combined dollars-per-student funding for Education and Operations shows MV ranked in the bottom 25% based on 2026 data. 🌟 From Mt. Vernon to the Senate Floor! 🌟
What happens when students are given a voice in shaping the future of AI in education?
seniors Hayden McLaughlin and Mackenzie Moore recently traveled to Boston to represent **Mt. Vernon—and the entire state of Indiana—**at the Day of AI Festival! 🖤💛
We want to give a shout-out to the Association of Public School Superintendents. At the event, Hayden and Mackenzie joined 98 students from across the country in a Student Senate focused on developing ideas for responsible AI use in K-12 schools. They debated, collaborated, compromised, delivered speeches on the Senate floor, and helped shape the Student First Act, which ultimately passed 83-15.
This is what it looks like when our students don't just prepare for the future—they help shape it.
