***Thank you all so much for the donations. We have been blown away by the support and because of all of you we will be able to prepare many meals for the family! We appreciate you all so much.

The Fortuna High School Culinary Arts Club is coming together to support one of our own during an incredibly difficult time.
Our classmate Clara recently lost her mother, April Posey and we'd like to help ease some of the burden by preparing home cooked dinners for their family. We will be doing this on July 27, 2026.
If you're able to help, a $10 donation to our Venmo would go a long way. Every dollar will go directly toward purchasing ingredients so our students can cook and deliver nourishing meals with love and care next week.

Allie won silver in the State SkillsUSA Baking and Pastry competition this weekend! We’re so proud of her!

We had another productive 2 weeks. I think we’re all ready for this last break (even though we’ll be in LA for a competition)!
We had a smoothie sale, delivered our rotary lunches (meatball subs), made samosas, catered a brunch meeting, made hot cross cardamom buns and cute carrot cupcakes:)

Would ya look at that! Two of my students got 2nd and 3rd in our SkillsUSA Regional Baking and Pastry Competition! Now off to state in April...first though, ProStart happens next week. Lots of travel coming up for us.
ALSO, I would like to just say, their scores were 979/1000 and 970/1000! Almost perfect and definitely not far from first. I'm so stoked for them! Good job ladies!

If you are located in Fortuna and interested in ordering lunch from the Culinary Class, message me and I will share the order form. Lunches are served almost every Thursday and available for pick up by noon. Thanks! This week it's a Thai Curry with Rice, a Thai Salad, a roll and a cardamom cupcake. We'd be happy to serve more people! They are generally $12 each.

We’re off to a good start.
We’ve done lots of pasta, gnocchi, just started pies, making amazing staff lunches every week, etc.
this year our club will be doing a gingerbread house fundraiser. We’ll sell an assembled gingerbread house with a bag of icing. Look out for that announcement after Thanksgiving!
