Class of 2026! I have one last scholarship just for you. Fortuna Kiwanis has several scholarships available for East and FUHS 2026 graduates that will be $ given directly to you for any expenses you have as you start trade school or college. It requires a 2.85 high school GPA, an essay, your high school activity sheet and transcript, and two letters of recommendation (either from last year or new ones from this year). It's due September 26th. If you'd like an application, email me at [email protected] and I'll send it to you.

SoHum Health is bringing Optometry to the community where it's needed most! We are currently serving Garberville on Mondays and Tuesdays and the first week of every month. We are visiting Eurkea, Fortuna and Rio Dell on a rotating schedule! Be seen for: eye exams, glasses fitting & contact lenses, screenings for glaucoma and macular degeneration, treatment for dry eyes and other eye conditions, diabetic eye exams, and more! Kiddos join us at the Rio Dell Community Resource Center next Wednesday, July 22nd. Kids under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Calling all adventurers, young and wise! This summer, youth (17 & under) and seniors (62+) ride FREE on all Ride Humboldt fixed-route buses through August 31. Summer jobs, trips with friends, exploring with the grandkids, and all your summer plans— it's all on us!

Not a youth or senior? You can still ride for just $2 on all fixed-route services.
