Yukon Flats Center Welcome to the UAF IAC Yukon Flats Center - Be the change you want to see in the world! The Yukon Flats Center’s original building was built in 1980. ft.

It is a single story log structure of 3,000 sq. The building has a classroom/meeting area/lounge, with kitchen; three offices (two used by students for audio conference classes), another classroom (converted from the garage), small copy area, lobby/reception area, two restrooms, and utility rooms. A new addition was completed in 2005. It is an academic wing, with two classrooms that can be combine

d into one classroom, computer lab, restroom, and utility rooms. Together, the original log building and its log faced addition total 6,326 SF. A separate 762 SF alternative energy building was built in 2010. Located near the entrance to the Center, it has one large interior space, which is used as a classroom/workshop.

Come fall semester, 15 students will be chosen as the first cohort to participate in the Virgie Dunlap-King Academy for Social Change. The path to the new academy is part of the leadership development series at the university."
