Students in the Health Science program of study were invited to attend TCU’s Burnett School of Medicine for an annual event. At this event, they had the opportunity to learn and practice hands on skills by rotating through anatomy VR headsets, suturing, ultrasound, CPR and AED stations. We are proud to partner with Brewer Athletics Athletic Training program by offering CTE programs in Medical Therapy and Exercise Science and Wellness. Courses in these programs are taught by licensed Athletic Trainers and are available to students as early as the 8th grade!

Thanks to our friends at Lockheed Martin, CTE staff recently had the opportunity to visit the aeronautics company to participate in a tour of their Fort Worth facility, including the F-35 production line, and engage in a panel discussion with some of the company's hiring managers. Teachers heard first-hand from these leading industry professionals the skills most sought after in young employees. With their help, we are working to build a stronger school-to-workforce pipeline. !
