Have you started to pre-teach your stations? Beginning of the year is a great time to play stations in a whole class setting while reviewing major concepts.
GentryandPitts
GentryandPitts was developed by two elementary music teachers. We have created Standard driven substitute and center activities for music teachers.
If your like me, summer time can be just as busy as school time! However, beginning the school year with a clean and organized elem music sub tub is so worth the time!
Try carving out an hour to go through your activities to re-organize, replace missing items, use fresh zip lock bags, and wipe clean any dry erase sheets (Clorox wipes or a Mr. Clean eraser work really well for this). It doesn’t take long and the pay off it so worth it! Your kiddos will appreciate starting fresh too!
With everything ready to go, you can plan to use stations at the beginning of the year as review activities.
To all of our Texas teacher friends Happy TMEA week! This is a great week to utilize your materials from the Elementary Music Sub tub so students can continue making music even when your not in the room. Let’s encourage independent musicianship!
School is coming quickly! Are you preparing for the upcoming year? Now is a great time to prep stations and think about how to pre-teach with purpose in your beginning of the year lessons. Here’s to a fresh start and a great year!

Today is the LAST DAY to purchase the digital file for our newest center, “Sing, Sing, Sink.” It is a melody focused center that we debuted at TMEA. We hope to have it available as a hard copy in the future, but for now we are tucking it away for workshop use.
If you want to add this center to your Sub Tub, you have until midnight tonight. 😊
