Do you have a moment? I would like to share some data with you. The following information was pulled directly from TEA, the Texas Education Agency.

May 2015 5th Grade Reading Results for the State of Texas:

The lowest two groups that MET STANDARD were:

Hispanic at 38%
African American at 39%

Other Categories:
Special Education students at 29%
Economically Disadvantaged students at 38%
At Risk students 38%
Title 1 students at 39%
(Notice how closely related these figures are)

Hopefully, I got your attention. While the highest group that Met standard was at 50% for White students, our Hispanic and African American students are still falling short. We can and MUST do better. What now??? Email me. [email protected]

Looking for high school sophomores and juniors to assist with summer enrichment program!!!

Good morning all!! We are BLESSED beyond belief and we want to pass on the blessings!

We are proud to announce that we are preparing for our 1st annual Summer Enrichment Program, which will consist of 4 weeks of intensive reading and math instruction. The proposed dates are July 20- August 13, 2015, Monday- Thursday from 8:30-2:30.
