Saginaw High School Cross Country

Another week of breaking school records, setting personal records, winning titles and advancing to the next round!

On to REGIONALS! Lubbock, here we come!!!!

What a successful District Championship!!!
Lots of AREA QUALIFIERS, District Champions and School Record set.
We compete April 17th at Braswell HS for a chance at REGIONALS!!!

Our boys started off Spring Break by breaking one of the oldest records in school history. They shattered the 2015 Distance Medley Relay record by dropping the time by 35 seconds and winning the Volunteer Relays at Arlington Bowie.

Our cross-country boys took their talents to the Texas Distance Festival and all ran personal best in their events.

REGIONALS was a great experience! No state qualifiers, but we did have some great runs! We placed 15th out of 24 teams. Our top finisher placed 31st out of a group of 179 competitors. All 5 scorers return next season. We'll be back faster and stronger!

Breakfast at Saginaw's Blue Mound Cafe' before hitting the road to Lubbock where our Varsity boys will compete in the regional championships! THANK YOU to those who came and broke bread with us. Your support is appreciated!

Our girls put forth a valiant effort but came up short in qualifying anyone for Regionals. Senior Kamryn Weeks earned a Top 20 medal for the second consecutive season.
We're looking forward to next season when we'll add runners from Highland and Prairie Vista Middle School to our growing program.
Proud of them for a season that brought many pr's!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Varsity and JV Boys on their 3rd place finish at the District Championship meet today. Varsity boys earned a bid to Regionals in Lubbock on October 20th.
