Today in Godly Play, we shared the story of Saint Thomas Aquinas, a teacher and scholar who loved asking big questions about God and faith. 📚✝️
As a young student, Thomas was quiet and thoughtful. Some classmates even gave him the nickname “The Silent Ox.” They didn’t realize that his deep thinking and wisdom would one day make a powerful impact. His teacher believed in him and said that one day the “Silent Ox” would be heard around the world. 🐂✨
We wondered together about how everyone learns in different ways and how God gives each of us special gifts — whether we are quiet thinkers, curious questioners, or joyful sharers.

During Power Hours today, we focused on building our fine motor skills by tearing colorful paper to create our very own “rainbows in a bottle.” 🌈
As we worked our fingers and hands, we also learned about how rainbows are formed in the sky—when sunlight shines through tiny water droplets after the rain. The children loved connecting science with creativity as they filled their bottles with beautiful layers of color!
Strengthening little hands while growing curious minds makes for a colorful day of learning. ✨

Our Pre-K travelers are off to Germany this week as we explore the letter “Yy”! 🇩🇪
Today we sampled some traditional German foods and took a “Yum or Yuck?” survey. On the tasting menu: sausage, sauerkraut, strudel, and bitter chocolate. Some were big hits… and some got some very funny faces! 😋🤢
We love seeing our little learners try new things and share their big opinions.

In Big Emotions Enrichment this week, we are focusing on building friendships. 🌈🐟
We read The Rainbow Fish and talked about what it means to be a good friend—sharing, showing kindness, and helping others feel included. The children loved exploring how friendships grow when we share our “sparkles” with others and treat our friends with care.
Big hearts, kind words, and beautiful friendships are growing in our classroom! 💙✨

Today in Spanish Enrichment we learned about St. Patrick’s Day — Feliz Día de San Patricio! 🍀
We talked about the holiday in Spanish and how celebrations around the world bring people together. After our lesson, we enjoyed a fun and refreshing snack of sandía y pepino con limón y Tajín. 🌶️🍉🥒
Some of us were big fans of the Tajín… and some of us were not so sure about it! 😄
In many cultures, food is what brings people together. Sharing snacks and meals is often an important part of family time and celebration, and today we got to experience a little bit of that together.

Today in Godly Play, our students learned about Saint Patrick, the beloved patron saint of Ireland. 🍀
Through story and wonder, we discovered how Saint Patrick devoted his life to missionary work in Ireland. After being taken there as a young captive and later returning home, he felt called by God to go back and share the message of Christianity. As a missionary, he traveled throughout the countryside teaching about God’s love, baptizing new believers, and helping start many churches and Christian communities.
One of the most well-known traditions says he used a simple shamrock to help explain the Holy Trinity — how the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three in one. 🌿
The children loved hearing how Saint Patrick’s courage, faith, and kindness helped bring hope and the Christian message to many people. Stories of the saints remind us that we are all called to share God’s love in our own ways. ✝️💚
