Logged into Apple Music today and saw that the Brooks and Dunn's album, Steers and Stripes, that I designed is having it's 25th Anniversary! 😳 I don't know how that's possible, but regardless, it's worth a listen! Happy Anniversary Brooks & Dunn!

Rest In Peace, Kenny. One of the greatest pleasures in my career was designing this package for him, his last studio album. What a great song. ❤️ Also, noteable was being able to work with MY best friend, Katherine Petillo, on this project. Sweet memory.

That moment when your 8th grade daughter is telling you how great this new song is and you respond with “oh yeah, I designed an album for Billy Ray Cyrus.” Her response: “No you didn’t.” Me: “Yes, yes I did.” Boom. (Parent) Mic drop. 😂 I’m realizing that my entire design career is paying priceless dividends in street cred with my kids. 👊🏻

This memory popped up in my feed today- about four years ago today this was being released. This was an especially fun package to design because I photographed the cover and many of the interior package photos. Super fun project. I’ve always taken some extra special pleasure in working with my fellow Okies- Toby Keith, Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton- and as well as the Asleep At the Wheel tribute to Bob Wills. ❤️ I feel like we all grew up in our respective little Oklahoma towns hoping to make it one day in Nashville- and so having the chance to collaborate on packaging really means something to me. I don’t know- I’m just sentimental, I guess. ❤️❤️ Next up: I need to add Vince Gill, Reba, and Carrie Underwood to my portfolio!

Facebook prompted me to make a business page so, here it goes! I thought I’d give it a go and post my work - and maybe some design thoughts along the way. First up, I just finished a pro-bono poster for my kiddo’s school. This year’s fundraiser is trying to raise funds for continued teacher and parent Montessori ed. In addition to the poster, myself and another crazy talented mom/designer friend, Kat Phillips (Etsy: thegrayattic) designed three T-shirts celebrating various Montessori philosophies. We may try and make those available to the masses so if you’re into that sort of thing, keep an eye out.;)
