"If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together." Guided by this African proverb, Dr. Christie Mims-Samuel leads with synergy and trust as core values in her daily walk as an educator. A proud native of Dallas, Texas, and graduate of David W. Carter High School, she learned early, while navigating scoliosis, the courage and purpose to be unapologetically different.
From these experiences,
Dr. Samuel developed an unshakable foundation of resilience and grit. She operates with the firm conviction that physical limitations never dictate an individual's ability to push foward and achieve high goals, using her platform to serve as an empowering role model for the next generation.
Known as a "unicorn",
Dr. Samuel chose to stand out by learning a new culture and language, minoring in Spanish and studying abroad in Cuermavaca, Mexico, to better serve students and expand their opportunities to thrive. She began her career as a general and bilingual teacher in Dallas ISD and has since led schools across the district, championing and supporting the growth of Two-Way Dual Language programs for all learner. She leads with compassion and resilience, demonstrating that being different is a gift that brings hope and leaves a lasting impact.
Dr. Samuel is driven by a passion to continuously grow and succeed. She has earned recognition as a Master Prinicpal,
a Cahn Fellow Distinguished Prinicpal, and is honored to be of Prinicpal in Collaboration through the University of North Texas. She considers her greatest strength to be her willingness to be vulnerable while maintaining professional integrity to support the growth of both students and staff.
She holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, a Master's in Bilingual Education from SMU, a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas, and a Prinicpal Certification from the University of North Texas, and is currently continuing her leadership journey through the Texas A&M Superintendency Program.
Grounded in legacy of service as the daughter and mother of U.S. Army veterans, she is a proud mother of three wonderful
young men and grandmother of two. Guided by the Golden Rule and the belief in going farther together. Dr. Mims-Samuel leads with purpose, heart, and impact. In her free time, she enjoys family time and spending time the family bulldog, Zoey.
Dr. Samuel will always greet you with a kind, firm smile and a simple message: "Keep pushing!"

temprana edad, mientras
enfrentaba la escoliosis, el
vaior y el proposito de ser
autenticamente difference.
A partir de estas experiencias, la Dra. Samuel desarrollo una base inquebrantable de resiliencia y fortaieza. Actua con la firme conviccion de que las limitaciones fiscal nunca determinan la capacitance de una persona para
avanzar y alcanzar grandes
metas, utilizando su plataforma para servir como un modelo inspirador
para la proxima la proxima
generacion.
Conocida como una "unicornio", la Dra. Samuel eligio destacarse aprendiendo una nueva
cultura y un nuevo idioma,
con una especializacion
secundaria en espanol y
estudios en el extranjero
en Cuernavaca, Mexico,
para servir mejor a los
estudiantes y ampliar sus
oportunidades de exito.
Inicio su carrera como
maestra general y bilingue
en Dallas ISD y desde
entonces ha liderado escuelas en todo el distrito
promoviendo y apoyando
el crecimiento de programas de Lenguaje Dual Bidireccional paran
todos los estudiantes.
Lidera con compasion y
resiliencia, demostrando
que ser diferente es un
regaio que brinda
esperanza y deja un
impacto duradero.
La Dra. Samuel esta
impulsada por una pasion
por crecer y tender exito
continuamente. Ha sido
reconocida como Directora

en Educacion con
especializacion en
Liderazgo Educativo, una
Maestria en Educacion
Bilingue de SMU, una
Licenciaturza en Ciencias
de la Universidad del Norte
de Texas y una Certificacion
de Directoria de la Universidad de Texas.
Actualmenta continua su
trayectoria de liderazgo a
traves del Programa de Superintendencia de Texas A&M.
Arriagada en un legado
de servicio como hija y madre de veteranos del
Ejercito de los Estados
Unidos, es una orguliosa
madre de tres
maraviliosos jovenes y
abuela de dos. Guiada por
la Regia de Oro y la creenica
de que juntos se liega mas
iejos, la Dra. Mims-Samuel
lidera con proposito,
corazon e impacto.
En su tiempo libre, disfruta
pasar tiempo en familia
y con ia bulldog de la
familia, Zoey.
