ZTA was founded October 15th, 1898 at the Virginia State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia.

The Gamma Psi chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Texas Christian University is full of enthusiastic, involved members who live by the creed every day. Many members hold executive positions in other campus organizations such as Student Foundation, Connections, and Diamond Darlings. Members are also involved in Frog Camp, Ambassadors, and much more. There are even Zetas on the executive board for the TCU
