This DOES NOT guarantee you will be a room parent. We are simply gathering information for parents interested and emails will be sent once all classes have been filled.

We know so many of you want to be involved. Having 2-3 Room Parents limit how many parents are contacting the teacher to help facilitate the class parties. All parents are invited to attend so no one is missing out!

This is an interest form to show interest in being a room parent. It does not guarantee you will be room parent. It is limited to 2-3 room parents per class. We LOVE our school!

On Wednesday night, we went to the NISD Financial Meeting to learn district guidelines for operating.

Friday, the board met over coffee to talk about ideas and how we can best serve this school and community!

Do YOU want to be involved? We have plenty of volunteer opportunities to fit different schedules and preferences!

Services will open up September 1st

The Northwest ISD Wellness Center reopens September 1, for the 2026-2027 school year!

The center offers free counseling sessions for NISD students in grades 3-12. Staffed by NISD counselors, the center is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gene Pike Middle School, 2288 Texan Drive.

We have BIG Goals for Hughes Elementary! We achieved School of Excellence - again - but we are not done there!

We want to achieve the MARS - Men are Really Special - Award! We need MORE men to sign up for our PTA! That means uncles, brothers, grandfathers, dads - the more the merrier!

When we get 50 Male Members - we will be doing a gift card giveaway JUST for them!

Also - we are here to serve our members, and we want you to know our goals! We really want to repaint the mascot in the gym and the outside basketball court to make recess for fun! This is a BIG cost, so we need our Hughey Hustle fundraiser to be a success! It is also in addition to helping fund fieldtrips, house shirts for all students, and free community events.

Every membership, every donation, every volunteer makes a difference and helps us give each child a voice and leave a positive impact on our community!
