Does this count as a “sourdough” post? They make and bake it here at Disney California Adventure! We just had lunch: corn dogs, burritos, and clam chowdah in sourdough bread bowls! All pretty yum! 🤤
It happens to all of us. Sometimes things just don’t work out. It’s important to share and learn from our failures…

Part sourdough sorcerer, part asphalt nomad, entirely allergic to the “normal life” script.
I live in a van that smells like toasted ambition and fermented rebellion, slinging wild loaves out the back like some carb-dealing outlaw with a starter older than your last situationship. I teach people how to keep tiny jars of flour alive and somehow that spirals into life advice, existential breakthroughs, and at least one person crying over gluten.
My aesthetic? Burnt orange sunsets, peacock chaos, and hands permanently dusted in flour like I just fought a baguette and won.
I don’t “settle down,” I park strategically.
I don’t “meal prep,” I engineer edible joy.
I don’t “network,” I accidentally befriend entire communities over bread and butter like a feral Martha Stewart with a vendetta against mediocrity.
Catch me somewhere between a farmer’s market, a coastal pull-off, and a spontaneous workshop where strangers become dough-obsessed disciples in under two hours.
Come for the bread. Stay because your starter now has a name and emotional significance.

When you finally have an excuse to add the first cut marks on a new cutting board…
We met the loveliest family in Florida last year at VanFest. They were super excited about Sourdough and so we bartered: my pancake mix for one of their beautiful hand made cutting boards.
So one of my quirks is that I ❤️ to own and be surrounded my beautiful things of quality and meaning. But…I don’t want to ruin them, so - in this case - I’ve carried this little cutting board all the way across the country without using it. I had a cheapie bamboo one of a similar size so I just kept using that one and saving this one… for a special occasion.
And FINALLY over a year later, I found the courage to use it. This lovely little Bespoke artisan market seemed an apropos moment.
It’s no longer pristine. But still so beautiful and special.
