Registered Early Childhood Trainer
Served as a teacher, center owner/director, and Early Childhood Coordinator at EMS-ISD Child Care Center.

I am also a Master Registered Trainer for the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS). I am one of those lucky people who developed, at an early age, a strong passion for working with children. Therefore, I have dedicated almost 40 years of my professional life to the nurturing of young minds, and to providing excellence in early childhood learning. I started my career as a

Just returned from the 2025 TRSEE Conference at the Dallas Sheraton—what a wonderful three days of learning, connection, and inspiration! As always, the event was exceptionally well-organized and brought together so many passionate professionals with rich backgrounds in Early Childhood Education.

I had the pleasure of presenting The Power of Interactions, which was also live-streamed. I’m grateful for the enthusiastic engagement and thoughtful reflections from those who attended, both in person and online. It was truly a dynamic and energizing experience.

Thank you to everyone who made this conference such a meaningful one—I’m already looking forward to next year!

The Power of You!
I had an excellent experience at the Texas Rising Star Early Childhood Conference—beautifully organized and filled with inspiring moments under this year’s powerful theme, The Power of You.
Many thanks to the amazing organizing team for bringing this event to life. I was honored to deliver my live-streamed presentation. It is More Than Playtime, it is The Power of Interactions, which was well-received and enjoyed by attendees. It was a joy to reconnect with colleagues, State and Associations Representatives and build new connections with passionate professionals in the field.

Early years are learning years!

The first five years of a child's life are a period of incredible growth, especially when it comes to language development. From their first coos to forming complex sentences, children achieve remarkable language milestones during this time.

While every child develops at their own pace, a rich language environment plays a vital role in nurturing these skills.

How can you create a rich language environment?

⭐️ Talk, talk, talk! Engage in frequent conversations with your child, even from birth. Describe what you're doing, name objects, and respond to their babbling.
⭐️ Read aloud: Reading aloud is one of the best ways to expose children to new words and sentence structures. Make it a daily habit!
⭐️ Sing songs and rhymes: Music and rhythm help children develop phonological awareness, which is essential for language development.
⭐️ Play games: Engage in interactive games that encourage communication, such as pretend play, board games, and simple card games.
⭐️ Limit screen time: Excessive screen time can hinder language development. Encourage face-to-face interactions and active play instead.

Remember, patience and encouragement are key. Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small, and create a supportive environment where your child feels comfortable communicating.
