Oaklawn Elementary School

Oaklawn Elementary will be hosting an Enrollment Event on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, and Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

If you need to enroll a new student or complete enrollment for the upcoming school year, our staff will be available to assist you throughout the day. We are here to answer questions, help with required paperwork, and ensure your child is ready for a successful start to the school year.

Dear Oaklawn Families,
Thank you for your partnership in helping our students come to school ready to learn each day. Please review our school uniform expectations below:
✅ Approved Uniform Attire

Green, black, white, or navy polo shirts
Khaki, black, or blue jeans/pants
Tennis shoes or Crocs

🟢 Fridays Only

Oaklawn spirit shirts or House shirts may be worn on Fridays only.

🚫 Not Permitted

Sweatpants or leggings worn as pants
Slides, sandals, house shoes, or slippers
Shorts that are not school-appropriate
Jeans with holes that expose skin unless tights/leggings are worn underneath
Polo shirts in colors other than green, black, white, or navy

We are incredibly proud of the powerful work happening through the arts at our school. This moment celebrates the dedication of our art teacher, Mr. Perez, who continually inspires our students to reach their creative potential.
Mrs. Jackie Henderson, Ms. Sandra Balderas, and Mrs. Nanedra Golding were honored as courageous women in our community and received one‑of‑a‑kind art pieces created by our students.
A special thank‑you to Jesse Cannon II, Director of Visual & Performing Arts, for his continued leadership and support of the arts across FWISD.
This inspiring event took place Saturday at the Northside Community Center—a true celebration of student voice, creativity, and community connection! 💙🎨
