What a great second week at EFWMA!

Dressing Sharp! Dreaming BIG!
There is something truly magical about Mondays at our school! Every week, our amazing 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders participate in Dress for Success Mondays, and we couldn't be prouder.Today, our boys stepped into the hallways looking sharp in their jackets, dress shirts, and ties, while our girls shined in their business casual attire. But this tradition is about much more than just clothes. When our students dress for success, you can see a visible shift in how they carry themselves. They stand taller, smile brighter, and take on the day with an extra boost of confidence. We aren't just preparing them for a regular school day—we are building the mindsets, habits, and confidence they will need to conquer the future! Parents, thank you for supporting this wonderful program and helping our future leaders look and feel their absolute best!
Share a picture of your sharp-dressed student in the comments below every Monday!

PRE-K: Practical Life and Exploring

Look at our Pre-K students enjoying the morning fresh air while learning practical life Montessori skills! Our little ones are natural explorers. We love encouraging their critical thinking and strengthening those fine motor skills every single day.

EFWMA Computer Science & Technology:

Our Pre-K to 2nd graders are having so much fun engaging with Computales this season! It is the perfect way for our young scholars to build new skills and keep moving forward on their learning journey. STEM is an important part of supporting our core subjects and we are thankful for the support of our community partner, WILLIAMS, for supporting us every year!

Brain Breaks Build Better Learners:

EFWMA thrives because we honor the many ways children learn. Brain breaks are an essential part of our day. Students need moments to reset, refocus, and recharge so they can bring their best selves back to learning.

Just 10–15 minutes a couple of times a day—whether playing quick games, drawing, building with blocks, stretching, or stepping outside for fresh air—helps students:

* Build stamina for sustained learning
* Open their minds to new ideas
* Regulate emotions and stay engaged
* Strengthen creativity and problem‑solving

These small moments make a big difference in helping children thrive academically and socially.

If you want to join our amazing families at East Fort Worth Montessori Academy, we invite you to connect with us. We currently have a few openings in Pre‑K through 5th grade, and we would love to welcome new students into our community.

Families can:

* Visit our school website at www.EFWMA.org
* Call to schedule an appointment 817-496-3003
* Come take a tour

Great First Week at EFWMA! So proud of our staff and students receiving and welcoming everyone on campus! We have had a fun filled week of learning our procedures and expectations, and just getting to know one another! Our staff has been so helpful where ever we were needed, and also in our dining hall! The students have loved the menu (minor adjustments) and our vegetarian options as well! We have been observant of the outdoors and heat (only in the playground in the mornings!), having PE indoors, and working with Project Lead the Way exploring our creative thinking minds! Thank you to our community partner - Williams that has providing continued financial support for our STEM programs at EFWMA for the past several years!

Our students have been working very hard to learn our procedures and expectations for their uniforms, attendance, dining hall dequorum and just having fun as they are learning! Some just needed a good nap (check out the photos!) Dismissal has been going pretty smoothly and we appreciate all of our parents, guardians, family members and daycare drivers for your patience and support.

EFWMA is a FREE open public charter school for grades K-5th with an OLE (Outside Learning Environment) that allows for our staff and students to explore and learn in the outdoors! We are a Montessori school which is excited to integrate this program from our PREK to 5th Grade this year. Our staff is ready and able to help your student gain a love of learning! Our PreK is tuition based, affordable and full day! Call us for more information.

We do have some slots available, so visit our website - www.efwma.org for more information about our flagship programs.

EFWMA is celebrating our amazing teachers this week while also providing outstanding professional development opportunities that help us empower our students to become independent, lifelong learners.

Our morning kicked off this week with the incredible Mrs. Shello Tabb, who guided us through a Montessori Labyrinth lesson, Outdoor Learning and how we use assessments to drive student learning across our campus.

In the afternoon, the fabulous and talented Mrs. K inspried us with a session on the brain and its different functions. She also had us take a learning styles assessment to discover whether we are auditory, visual or kinesthetic learners.

Understanding how each child learns is a key part of great teaching. When we recognize and support each student's unique learning style, we help set them up for a lifetime of curiosity, confidence and success.

Summer is almost over and we wish to take this time to thank all of our students, parents and staff that attended SUMMER SCHOOL at EFWMA! We enjoyed having them with us, learning with us, having fun in enrichment and helping them succeed! Even though some of our students will not be returning, we thank all of those parents that put their trust in us to keep their minds fresh before they head back to school! Here are some pics of our last summer days on our field trip to the farm, riding bikes, and skateboards, and camping indoors!

We truly hope everyone has a great school year!

🌞 What an amazing first week of Summer School at EFWMA! 🌿

Our students came in ready to learn, explore, and have fun and they’ve done exactly that. From hands‑on enrichment classes to exciting new activities, the energy on campus has been incredible. You can feel how excited our scholars are to be here each day.

One of their favorite parts of Summer School has definitely been the food! Our kiddos look forward to their freshly prepared breakfast and lunch served daily, along with brain‑break snacks that keep them fueled and focused throughout the day.

We wrapped up Week 1 with something extra sweet… 🍨✨
Students were treated to homemade waffle bowls filled with vanilla ice cream and all the toppings including syrups, whipped cream, sprinkles, and more! The best part? Our Superintendent, Dr. Sukai Durosimi, jumped right in to help students build their own delicious masterpieces. The smiles say it all.

Week 1 was a blast and we’re just getting started.
Week 2, here we come…! 🌟

Most importantly Kuddos to our incredible Summer School Staff who made your child's first week INCREDIBLE!

Felicitaciones a:
Ms. Amy Felton
Ms. Debbie Dahman
Mr. Jeremy Holiday
Miss Taszah Jefferson
Ms. Tajah Williams
Miss Alyssa Melton
Mr. Javier Aguilar
