Had a little fun at school today to see how many people could read this shirt. The concept is not something I typically teach in elementary music so I wasn't hopeful but 3 students knew the answer. 🎉 Also 4 faculty in my wing got it too.

It's Jam Session week!

What is a Jam Session?

It's a short get-together of different instruments where students learn how to read and play chord charts, play by ear and learn what it means to play in a band/ensemble.

Why Attend?

Music is meant to be shared in community with one another! Playing with and for other students is encouraging, motivating and just plain fun!

Practices are used to prepare music for upcoming Spring Chapels

Students improve basic musicianship skills such as listening, reading, and playing in an ensemble.
