It was really hot when we planted but now things are looking really happy! Radishes and beans emerging. Cabbages, greens, tomato’s, peppers enjoying this cooler weather. The star of the show is our new thornless blackberry.

We will have our first meeting of the year on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 3:30 (right after school). We will be clearing the beds and planting some seeds!

We are having a garden club meeting at 3:20 on February 21st (weather permitting)! We will be planting potatoes and talking about composting with One Shade Greener. Everyone is welcome to join!
Edited to say that we didn't end up with quite enough (due to the abnormally hot summer) to pass them out at pickup, but I did drop them off in the teacher's lounge for staff to take home!
Thanksgiving garden club meeting is happening this Thursday, November 16 at 3:30! We will be assembling Thanksgiving herb bundles to hand out at pick up the next day (Friday). Everyone is welcome to join and take a bundle of herbs home for holiday cooking!
Impromptu garden club meeting is happening this Thursday, Oct. 12, at 3:30! Our friends at One Shade Greener (a TCU – Texas Christian University student volunteer group) is going to help us put down some much needed mulch! Everyone is welcome while we check our gardens progress and do some maintenance!
