FRC Team 4206, The Robo Vikes of Nolan Catholic High School

The Robo Vikes took on the Plano District Event today, and let’s just say—there were plenty of “learning opportunities” (aka unexpected robot issues) along the way.

But wait, there’s more! A special guest who always blesses us at every event with her presence—our incredible mentor, Julia Ermish! Not only did she make an appearance in Plano, but she’s also set to bring her event-coordinating magic to the Fort Worth District Event at Nolan Catholic on March 21st and 22nd in Harnett Arena.

Oh, and speaking of special guests… Dean Kamen, the mastermind behind FIRST, was also at the event! He’s been invited to the Fort Worth District Event, and while we hope he’ll make an appearance, the man’s got a packed calendar (probably filled with inventing the future). Fingers crossed!

New Competition! New Season!
After school today the FRC Team 4206, The Robo Vikes of Nolan Catholic High School headed out to the team’s first district event for 2025 in Plano, TX

Under the leadership of our new head coach, Michael Crance, the team has been working hard to rebuild and strengthen their program. We will try to make Nolan Catholic High School - Official proud!!!

Thanks to all the campers that attended our Robo Vikes 4206 summer camp. It was a week of learning CAD, programming a robot with sensors, testing your design through competition, and making new friends.

Finishing out the year with our epic Nerf Blaster Capture the Flag Battle and family potluck 🥳 We hope your summer is full of adventure!

Before we break for summer, we want to take a moment to pay tribute to the backbone of this team: our Fabulous, Talented, Driven and Benevolent Mentor, Mrs. Ermish. To know her is to be astonished by her never-ending energy, kindness, generosity and passion for Team 4206. (And for Oreos!) She has dedicated herself to advancing the engineering and robotics program at Nolan Catholic High School and providing students with a hands-on experience in a top-tier shop and practice facility. She is a force of nature that is constantly working to improve the experience of the students on campus as well as to create opportunities for students to join our community. We could not be more grateful to have her in our corner. WE 💙 YOU, MRS. E!

We know you all have exciting things on the horizon and can’t wait to watch as you take the world by storm. We’ll do our best to make you proud during the 2025 water game (!!!) if you promise to visit!
