Good times in Marathon, Florida. Always enjoy working with them. They have the “L” models, but primarily fly the H125.

Helicopter Institute is looking forward to attending the 2026 AAAA Summit being held April 15–17 in Nashville at the Ga***rd Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

Helicopter Institute will be there with our partner, Podium 1, at Booth 2132. Stop by to learn more about innovative simulation solutions and how they can support modern helicopter training.

Randy Rowles, President of Helicopter Institute, will be onsite and available to discuss the U.S. Army Part 141 Demo Program, which completed operations on March 31, 2026.

This program introduced the TH-66 SAGE, a military training focused Robinson R-66, which represented an important opportunity to demonstrate a commercial helicopter training model built around capability, safety, efficiency, and readiness for the future of Army Aviation.

If you are attending AAAA and want to talk about flight training, simulation, Part 141 capability, or where Army aviation training should go next, we would welcome the conversation.

Come see us at Booth 2132 in Nashville.

Today marks the final day of the U.S. Army Part 141 Initial Entry Rotary Wing Demo Program, and what an incredible chapter this has been for Helicopter Institute.

We are deeply humbled to have been given the opportunity to support such an important effort. This program was far more than a demonstration. It was a real world showing of what can be accomplished when proven training methods, committed professionals, and mission focused ex*****on come together in support of developing the next generation of Army aviators.

The numbers tell an important part of the story. Over the course of this program, the Army effort flew in excess of 3,600 total flight hours. Students logged 232.9 solo flight hours. We conducted 74 FAA checkrides, including private and instrument, with 71 passed on the first attempt and the remaining 3 passed on the second attempt. We also completed 275 FAA Part 141 stage check evaluations, while the simulator was utilized for a total of 438 hours.

Those numbers matter, but what matters even more is the professionalism, discipline, and commitment shown every day by the people behind them.

We are thankful to Crew Training International for being such a supportive partner throughout this effort. Strong partnerships matter, and CTI helped make this program a success. Additionally, I would like to thank M1 for the introduction to CTI. Without that introduction, this wouldn’t have happened. Thank you!

Most importantly, this achievement belongs to the Helicopter Institute staff who poured themselves into this mission. Our instructors, evaluators, maintenance team, simulator personnel, and support staff are the ones who deserve to be recognized. Their work ethic, adaptability, and belief in doing things right made this an unbelievable experience for our company.

As this program closes today, we do so with gratitude, pride, and respect for everyone who helped make it successful. Helicopter Institute was honored to serve in this role, and we will always be thankful for the opportunity.
