When TCU research and creative activity meet community engagement, the results are visible across North Texas.
Congrats to Horned Frog graphic design students and Annalise Leavy and Samantha Callaway on having their billboards chosen for public display. Created by faculty Jan Ballard, this initiative expands professional visibility for students while advancing the missions of local nonprofits.
Look for their designs on digital billboards through May 10.

A huge thank you to all the TCU alumni who joined our portfolio review event last Monday! Your insights and advice mean so much to anyone entering the creative market.

A special shoutout to the Dallas-Fort Worth creative community for taking the time to share experiences, offer guidance, and support emerging talent– especially while battling traffic! Your generosity does not go unnoticed.

It’s so inspiring to see alumni and industry pros come together to lift up the next wave of creatives. Thank you again for your time, guidance, and encouragement– and we hope to see you at our BFA Senior Show on April 27th!

Congratulations to Junior BFA design student Sarah Aday on winning a Silver ADDY in the Online/Interactive – Social Media Campaign category at the American Advertising Awards for her project “Fragments of Antiquity Film Fest.”

This conceptual film festival uses cinema to explore and educate audiences about the ancient world. Hosted at Washington, DC’s Smithsonian Museums, the event features films centered on major ancient empires—including Roman, Greek, and Egyptian civilizations—paired with panel discussions led by historians examining the historical accuracy of the films.

Sarah developed a cohesive brand system including a logo, social media campaign, film poster, and official merchandise, unified through the use of mosaic elements, weathered textures, and a consistent color palette that evoke the visual language of antiquity.
One featured poster promotes the film Ben-Hur, set in the Roman Empire. The headline, “We Will Rise Again,” is hand-manipulated using photographs of mosaic stones arranged to form the letterforms, with an arch and a hand-drawn horse motif layered with mosaic texture—creating a striking visual connection to the historical theme of the festival.
