Last week, we had our annual Jim Wright Symposium, “Legends of the Lone Star Courthouses.” Our featured speaker, Susan Tietz, delivered an amazing talk about the preservation of Texas courthouses, with other lectures given by Dr. Keith Gaddie, Dr. Jim Riddlesperger, and Dr. Jocelyn Evan’s. McKay Trulove, TCU Junior, presented the trailer of her soon to be released documentary titled “Overlook History: Central Texas County Courthouse.” Dean Watson announced the wonderful news of the new “James Riddlesperger Endowed Scholarship.” This wonderful scholarship is to honor our retired Political Science, Piper Professor Dr. Jim Riddlesperger. Dr. Riddlesperger dedicated 43 years of teaching and mentoring students at TCU. Many thanks to Diane Latham Hanley and Tom Hanley whose generous donation made this scholarship possible.
