After learning about the properties of matter and exploring sink or float, students in Mrs. McDowell’s 3rd Grade Class put their knowledge to the test by working in groups to design and construct a boat.

Their challenge was to create a boat that would float for at least 10 seconds while holding cargo. Students used teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to design, test, and improve their boats! 🚤🔬

Way to go Bulldogs! 🐾

Welcome to our team! Dr. Stefani Morrow has been named principal of Sidney H. Poynter Elementary School by the Board of Trustees.

Dr. Morrow is an experienced educator and administrator joining us from Cedar Hill ISD.
