Greetings, Dunbar Alumni!

As we prepare to celebrate the 70th Birthday Celebration of our beloved Alma Mater, Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, we are excited to announce that our planning meetings will be starting soon!

This milestone celebration is more than an event—it is an opportunity to honor our rich legacy, celebrate generations of Wildcats, and create lasting memories for alumni, students, families, and our community. We are looking forward to hearing the ideas, collective suggestions, and creative input from each of our class leaders as we work together to make this the greatest 70th Year Celebration in Dunbar history.

We have so much planned for our alumni to enjoy throughout this historic celebration, and every class has something valuable to contribute. Your voice, your ideas, and your participation will help ensure that every generation is represented and every Wildcat has something to look forward to.

These planning meetings are open to all alumni of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, and we encourage every graduating class to have a representative present. Together, we can build a celebration that reflects the pride, excellence, traditions, and enduring legacy of our Alma Mater.

There has been discussion for quite some time regarding the possibility of a merger between Dunbar High School and Eastern Hills High School.

While no one knows exactly what the future holds, these conversations are one of the many reasons we are so passionate about making our 70th Year Celebration in 2027 a historic and unforgettable event.

Paul Laurence Dunbar High School is more than a building—it is a legacy, a tradition, and a source of pride for generations of Wildcats.

As we prepare to celebrate 70 years of excellence, memories, friendships, and accomplishments, we encourage every
Wildcat to make plans now to come home and be a part of this milestone occasion.
