If you sit at a desk in front of a screen for 8+ hours a day, try to spend 2 or 3 minutes each hour looking at something that is 20+ feet away from you. It will reduce the stress on your eyes and lower the likelihood of a headache. Plus, it gives your brain a short break to better tackle those projects.

Be kind to yourself. A mistake is not something to hold on to. Own it, learn the lesson it is meant to teach and move forward. This is how we grow into who we want to be. The more we resist the learning opportunity, the more opportunities we will get with increasing frequency and intensity. It takes courage to admit fault so be kind to yourself.

Health and wellness are not limited to just how strong you are or how far you can run. It also includes how well your mental capacity is to adapt to stressors. This can be a motivator to perform physically in order to allow yourself the opportunity to proces. Since your brain is focused on the physical movement, it isn't focusing on the mental aspect which can allow for you to slowly let that process and pass through. This can be done with walking, weight training, or even chores. Whatever you decide to do, always know that doing what you are doing is getting what you're getting. So if what has worked in the past has stopped working, that's ok. It just means you should try something different because it will lead to something different.

It's been a while since I was on here. Just like an exercise routine, we have times where we "fall out" or get distracted. Just because this happens doesn't mean anything other than an opportunity to refine and refresh with new perspective. Get back on the path you want and keep moving forward.

Hey ya'll. Sorry it has been a while. I've recently had a career change and its taken some getting used to. I've noticed that with the change in professions comes a change in movement patterns. When it does get to where I actually hurt, I'm finding knots in my muscles that are pulling the area that hurts. That's when I bust out the old lacrosse ball and go to work. It may hurt at first but over time the pain will be less than what it will grow into.

Sometimes the best thing to do before a long work day is a hard workout. That way, no matter what, you start off the day with an accomplishment.

Starting the year off right is awesome but don't lose focus when things get hard. That is when the real changes happen. Choose the path less walked and you will see things you never saw before.
