In February 1731, Benjamin Franklin was initiated into St. John’s Lodge in Philadelphia; the earliest known Masonic Lodge in North America. On June 24 of that year, the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania was formed. By 1734, Franklin had risen to the position of Right Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Pennsylvania and conducted Grand Lodge meetings at the Tun.

Robert D. Brink, board member of The Tun Legacy Foundation, is the Grand Master of Masons in Pennsylvania exactly 292 years later!

The Brothers of 148 are very excited for very own Gabe Jagush serving as District Deputy Grand Master of District 64-A. He is one of the hardest working men in the quarries and we could not be happier he was honored with this appointment.

As we pick up our working tools again in the light of this new year, let us consider:

Tonight our Brother Billy Hamilton gave a Presentation at Mansfield Lodge 331 so we also took the opportunity to bring home the district 64 traveling gavel to its rightful place with the Mother Lodge of Tarrant County!

Last Night we passed a worthy brother to the Fellow Craft. We had some awesome Visitors From New Day Lodge # 655 of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas!
