Meet Sarah Newton, the new interim chair of the School for Classical & Contemporary Dance! 🩰
For 17 years, Sarah has been inspiring TCU dancers as a performer, choreographer, and educator. Her deep expertise in human anatomy and its connection to movement has taken her across the country, where she's presented workshops on Dance Anatomy.
We're thrilled to have her serving as interim for SCCD! 💜

From the skies to the stage ✈️✨
TCU alumna Beverley Bass made history as the first female captain at American Airlines — and her incredible story inspired a character in the Tony Award-winning musical "Come From Away."
A double major in Spanish and Interior Design, Bass's groundbreaking aviation career and her experience as a pilot on Sept. 11, 2001, became part of a powerful story now being told on stage at Casa Mañana in Fort Worth.

The TCU Symphony Orchestra recently celebrated the legacy of Germán Gutiérrez, honoring his extraordinary impact on music, education and the Fort Worth community. 🎶
In recognition of his lasting contributions as a conductor, educator and artistic leader, the city of Fort Worth officially proclaimed April 29, 2006, as “Germán Gutiérrez Day.”
Through his leadership at TCU, Gutiérrez has inspired generations of musicians and helped shape the cultural arts landscape both on campus and beyond.

It's move-out day here at the SOM, as we begin vacating Ed Landreth Hall, our original building and one that still houses over 60 faculty and staff. Our friends at University Christian Church of Fort Worth, across the street, and where TCU Music Prep will be housed during the renovation, are giving us such a warm welcome.
