We just kicked off our Because We Care Campaign on September 2, and it runs through October 22! 💙

The best part? 100% of the funds raised come right back to EMS ISD through employee scholarships, innovative classroom grants, and 21st Century Learning Grants that directly impact our staff and students.

We are so pleased to announce that Mia Ramirez will be joining the Education Foundation as the new Administrative Assistant beginning on August 17. Mia brings more than 18 years of experience in public education, including the last 12 years with EMS ISD. Mia has an excellent reputation of professionalism and a genuine commitment to serving others. One of her greatest strengths is her remarkable ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and connected. Her warm, outgoing personality, combined with her dedication to building positive relationships, has made her highly respected across the District. In addition, Mia has been a longtime supporter and volunteer of the Education Foundation, making her a perfect fit for our mission and community.
We are thrilled to welcome Mia to this new role and look forward to the many ways her experience, talents, and passion for service will contribute to the continued success of the EMS Education Foundation.

We love our Chick-fil-A Saginaw for so many reasons. This Saturday they are loving our EMS ISD back. Swing by and donate school supplies for local students and receive a yummy breakfast offer. This community continues to give so generously. We are !

Congratulations to Roni Omo-Izobo, Resource Teacher at Willow Creek Elementary School, for her 21st Century Grant, Pathways to Positive Behavior. This grant will implement a structured sensory path with tools that will offer students developmentally appropriate sensory input and motivation to help them regulate their bodies, improve transitions, will staying in a learning environment. We look forward to seeing it in motion, quite literally.

Congratulations to Rae Harris, PE Teacher at High Country Elementary, for her Educational Grant award for 9-Square in the Air. Ms. Harris sure does know how to bring the excitement to her campus. We are thrilled to see kids getting to be active and learn strategy through using their bodies with this super fun game. We love being part of the fun!

Congratulations to MarQuais Kinsey, Media Technology teacher at Hollenstein Career & Technology Center, for his 21st Century grant award for the purchase of upgraded media equipment for his students. He has collaborated with his campus team and grown this program to allow students to compete within a thriving field. This grant will increase the opportunities they have to work within the latest technological advances available for the Skills USA contests they are a part of each year. We are proud to help.
