🔬 Science in Action! 🪨

Our 6th grade scientists put their skills to work today! Students combined lab safety, the scientific method, and Earth Science as they examined and categorized different rocks using their textbooks for research.

They developed hypotheses, used Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (CER), and organized their observations in charts and graphic organizers. A great day of hands-on learning, critical thinking, and discovery! 🧪🐾

From Tiny Beginnings to God's Purpose

Every one of us began as a tiny child with a future known only to God. Each teacher and staff member has walked a unique path, filled with different experiences, challenges, joys, and blessings. Yet through His loving plan, God has guided every step, preparing each of us for a special purpose.

Today, those paths have come together at Saint Rita Catholic School, where we have the privilege of teaching, serving, and sharing Christ's love with our students each day.

As you look at these childhood photos, remember that God has been writing each of our stories from the very beginning. What once seemed like ordinary moments were all part of His extraordinary plan.

A huge THANK YOU to one of our amazing parents, Valeria Romero and her company Brewer, who generously donated an entire truckload of mulch for our playground! 🛝🌳

It is acts of kindness like this that remind us what makes Saint Rita so special. Our families continually step up, lend a hand, and work together to keep our school beautiful and at its very best for our students.

We are so grateful for a community that sees a need and says, “How can I help?” It truly takes a village, and we are blessed with an incredible one! 🐾❤️💚

🐾 What an incredible first day at Saint Rita Catholic School! ❤️💚

More than 150 students came through our doors today, filled with those first-day jitters, big smiles, and excitement for all that this new school year will bring!

After dropping off their children, our parents were invited to our Boo Hoo / Woo Hoo! gathering for coffee, donuts, treats, and, of course, a few Kleenex! ☕🍩 It was a wonderful opportunity to visit, connect, and build community with other Saint Rita families.

Inside our classrooms, teachers spent the day establishing classroom expectations and routines, prayers were recited, laughter filled the halls, and new friendships began to blossom. 🙏

What an incredible beginning to the 2026–2027 school year! We are so grateful for every student, family, teacher, and staff member who makes Saint Rita such a special place.

St. Rita, patroness of impossible causes, pray for us. 🌹
May you intercede for our students, families, teachers, and staff throughout this school year. May we remain rooted in Christ as we grow in faith, lead in kindness, and persevere through every challenge.
