Rough Rider AVID

Our PATHS students, along with a few other seniors, committed to college tonight. This was the first time we've done this where any senior could participate. No athletics. No band. No fine arts. Just kids wanting to celebrate their commitment to furthering their education. We celebrated 23 students. Hoping to have more students participate next year.
23 students representing over $3 million!

CONGRATULATIONS to (L to R) Alexis Lofton, Alan Gamez, and Kylee Crane on being named DELL SCHOLARS for 2024. Only 500 students are selected nationwide annually and we have 3 at Saginaw HS! They are the first EMSISD Dell Scholar recipients!

Inaugural AVID Culture Fair was a success! Students researched their culture or a classmates culture and presented their findings. We had cuisine, music styles, traditions, fashion, language, architecture, religion, sports, and family trees. Students showed so much pride in who they are, where they come from and what their culture has brought to the world. It was wonderful seeing their smiles and hearing the discussions. Already thinking about how to make it better next year!

EMS ISD is pleased to announce school day testing opportunities for the ACT and SAT college entrance exams. Testing is open to JUNIORS and SENIORS. The district will provide ONE test for FREE during a student junior or senior year.
