On behalf of Faith Academy Learning Center and the Child Care industry I would like to honor the life and legacy of Gyna Machelle Bivens.

First I would like to say thank you 🙏 for taking up a cause that you felt had no voice in your community. Because of you I walked in doors I would have never walked in. Because of you I set on an advisory board that I would have never set on. Because of you I was put in contact with people I would have never met. You were a true trailblazer a woman of great faith that could walk in any room and make your presence known.

It’s so ironic that we celebrate your life in Black History Month because that is what your life and legacy is. I am so proud to call you the Aunt of my daughter and a pillar not only for your community but your city.

Job well done Machelle no one will ever do it like you.
