The FWISD Board of Managers has approved a plan to pause Additional School Day Year (ADSY) programming for summer 2026. The last day of school for ADSY campuses is now May 21!

Wedgwood families: As you plan ahead for this semester, here’s a key reminder: Feb. 16 is a required school day for our ADSY campus.

We’re also hosting Level Up Family Learning Day, including:
-Reading and Math Power-Ups (simple strategies you can use at home)
-Student-led Checkpoint Conferences
-Campus details like rotations and lunch (varies)

There is school on Tuesday, November 11, and families are invited to attend our ADSY Campus Showcase Day.

When: Tuesday, November 11, 2025 (regular school day)
Where: Wedgwood Middle School

What to expect:
• Parent workshops
• Classroom visits with short, hands-on activities with your child
• A resource fair featuring campus, District, and community partners
• Optional lunch — come early or stay late to eat with your child

ADSY stands for Additional Days School Year, which provides more learning time and family engagement while keeping the same teachers, buses, and meals. The extra time helps students grow in reading and math.

📢 Important Update for Our Families:

Our campus will follow the Additional Days School Year (ADSY) calendar for the 2025–26 school year.

This means the school year will extend through June 30, giving teachers and students more time for engaging lessons, enrichment, and growth — all designed to help our scholars soar.

✅ Transportation and meals will still be provided
✅ Same great teachers, more opportunities to learn and thrive
✅ Participation in additional days is highly encouraged

Fort Worth ISD’s 2025 Spring Break will take place from March 17-24. Staff will return on March 24, and students will return to campuses March 25.

During March 17-21, all district facilities will be closed.

We hope you enjoy this well-deserved break and take the opportunity to rest and recharge. We can’t believe the school year is quickly approaching its end — let’s finish strong!
