❄️ Weather Update for Keller ISD ❄️

Out of an abundance of caution, Keller ISD will remain closed on Thursday, January 29, due to icy conditions on school property and road conditions in surrounding areas.

While Wednesday’s sunshine helped improve many main roads, neighborhood streets, parking lots, and school driveways remain icy and unsafe.

Keller ISD Families and Employees,

Keller ISD schools and administrative offices will remain closed Wednesday, January 28, out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students and staff.

While our area experienced an increase in temperatures today, road conditions, especially on neighborhood streets, have not shown significant improvement due to the amount of ice accumulation. Keller ISD’s Emergency Operations Team has been driving throughout the community today to assess road conditions, and travel remains hazardous. With temperatures expected to return below freezing this evening and through Wednesday morning, concerns remain about road improvement and the district’s ability to clear ice in parking lots and school driveways. With those factors in mind, the district is prioritizing the safety of students, families, and staff by cancelling Wednesday classes.

The instructional minutes missed due to this third inclement weather day are still accounted for in the 2025-26 Instructional Calendar, so these days missed will not need to be made up.
