Teaching Nerd

I'm back at my favorite library on a Fun Day Friday, where she has a craft time club. They are making animal ornament and loving it.

They are practicing sharing, helping each other, fine motor skills, and celebrating with each other.

The young lady above was stuck and not moving forward, so the librarian came over and got her started... and encouraged her to relax and have fun.

What a great way to start a Friday...and end Kindness week.

Best thing about my new position is "bee-ing" able to celebrate teachers!

This was the most Monday-est Thursday that ever was. A thousand things all due at the same time, all required several steps to complete. Got observed. And the kids are all acting like wild squirrels on Mountain Due, at a rave.

Problems and heartaches can overwhelm us and make us feel rejected by God. But God is eternally with us.

A days are tough...rough mix of students that can feel overwhelming...but God! And 28 days of school left.

It is that time of year again!!! sale is tomorrow...my entire store is included. I've recently added so many great new tools for remote and in-person teaching.

Ever have a morning where you feel hung over, but have no reason to feel that way? Maybe it is because it is Monday and almost April? Thinking it is part of the joys of being 46. Ugh...headache, and mandatory STAAR training the perfect combo.

March has been cultural celebration month. So our social studies department sponsored a door decorating contest. We put the kids in charge of the decorating my Spain themed door....well we tried.

Try to not to be distracted by my hair..this was taken the day before Spring Break. Who am I kidding the first day back isn't much better.

Friday before Spring Break-
✅ Caffeine
✅ 2,783 random mask, most needing to be cleaned
✅ Toes a month past a good pedicure
✅ Sitting in my car praying- my grading is fast, the kids don't lose their minds, and that all the sweet darlings return safely in a week.
