🎓 Senior Spotlight: Pedro Torres 🎓

Let’s celebrate Pedro Torres, who will be attending UT Arlington this fall to major in Nursing with the goal of becoming a nurse anesthetist. His dedication and hard work have already opened incredible doors.

Pedro was accepted into Texas Wesleyan University and UTA, earning over $92,000 in scholarships — a testament to his commitment and determination.

He says he is most proud of himself and everything he accomplished during his time at WLI, and we couldn’t agree more.

Congratulations, Pedro! Your future in healthcare is bright, and we can’t wait to see all you achieve. 💙✨

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Daphne Barrios 🎓

We’re proud to celebrate Daphne Barrios, who will be heading to college this fall to pursue a major in Nursing with the goal of becoming a pediatrician. Her dream is to help little kids feel better — and she’s already well on her way.

Daphne has been accepted to Texas Wesleyan University and The University of Texas at Arlington, earning an incredible $84,000 in scholarships along the way.

During her time at WLI, she was an active and dedicated member of Our Journey, UV4C, and the French Honor Society. She also shared her musical talents by playing bass and guitar in the Estudiantina ensemble.

Daphne says she is most proud of finally finishing high school, and we couldn’t be prouder of her.

We couldn’t celebrate the WLI Class of 2026 without sharing one of the most unforgettable traditions—the changing of the tassel and the cap toss! 🎉

With the simple move of a tassel, our seniors officially became graduates… and with the toss of their caps, they celebrated years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance paying off. 🎓👏

Amy plans to attend Texas Wesleyan University this fall, where she will major in Psychology with the goal of becoming a School Psychologist—what an inspiring path! 🧠📚

She was accepted into University of North Texas, Texas Wesleyan University, and University of Dallas, demonstrating her hard work and commitment to her future. 🎉

Amy has earned an astounding $434,776 in scholarships, a testament to her dedication and excellence. 💰✨
