candidates to tell the children's story. We are looking for individuals that can relate and connect with the children. We felt that you all were excellent candidates.
There are many benefits for the children and for the story tellers in volunteering.
1. You have the opportunity to teach children the indestructible joy in Jesus
2.The Children's stories can help them make sense out of life.
3 It is something fun to do. Do you know who invented fun? God did. Do you know why? For his own glory. While entertainment and fun seeking can become an idol, we should not think God is against fun.
4. It gives children special memories. Think back to when you were a child on Sabbath. Can you remember a special teacher or event?
5. It allows them to make friends with adult volunteers in safe context. In our culture child safety is a constant concern, and rightly so. But there is still great value in kids finding adult mentors in the church.
6. It can help counter balance worldly influences. Everyone knows the harmful influences present in our society. Kids need positive influences to tip the scale.
If you each agree to volunteer - that would allow us to create a schedule where you would tell the children's story 1 Sabbath every 4 or 5 months. If you know anyone else that may be interested in telling the Children's story please pass this information to them. Especially Young Adults!!
