💊 Medication Safety Week 2026 💊
This week we recognized Medication Safety Week (April 1-7). Pharmacists play a critical role in keeping patients safe every day by reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, preventing harmful interactions, providing counseling, and helping patients understand how to take their medications safely and effectively. Thank you to our pharmacists for protecting patient health, one prescription at a time! 🫶

In honor of Oncology Pharmacist Day, we spoke with Ph.D. student Randy Afrane who was recently selected as a Doctoral Scholar in cancer research, under the mentorship of Dr. Eul Hyun Suh, Assistant Professor of pharmaceutical sciences at UNT Health Fort Worth’s College of Pharmacy, to learn more about this opportunity and his goals in oncology pharmacy. 👨‍⚕️💊🗨️
