This award is presented to a senior student who best exemplifies Fort Worth Country Day's ideal of active and meaningful participation in school life. It is named in honor of Peggy Wakeland, who has been an engaged member of the FWCD faculty and community for over 30 years. What a great honor!

These five Middle School students are part of the inaugural Leader-in-Training program with Fort Wonder. They are spending three weeks over the course of the summer to learn from experienced administrators and counselors about leadership, valuable workplace and teaching skills.

Rooted in FWCD’s motto, Humanitas Per Disciplinam, which means “Character Through Learning,” this award, presented at the Upper School Awards Ceremony, honors two seniors who have earned the respect and affection of the Upper School community through their consistently unselfish, positive and supportive contributions.
