Welcome back to Eagle Heights, Ms. Reed!
Azle ISD would like to welcome Catherine (Katy) Reed as the new principal of Eagle Heights Elementary - Azle ISD. She replaces Shelley Newton, who will be serving in a new role next school year.
Ms. Reed brings 17 years of experience in public education and comes to Azle ISD from Fort Worth ISD, where she has served as an elementary principal, assistant principal, data analyst, and teacher.
Ms. Reed is a dedicated principal committed to student success and strong community connections. A graduate of Texas Woman’s University, she earned both a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies (Sociology and Government) and a Master’s degree in Teaching. Raised in Azle, Ms. Reed brings a background rooted in service and a passion for education to the school community. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Robert, and daughter, Emmarie.
We are excited to welcome Ms. Reed back to her former elementary campus, Eagle Heights! A meet-and-greet event will be scheduled for late summer so that EH families can get to know Ms. Reed before school starts.
