Fort Worth STEAM Academy is a public charter middle school opening in August 2026. We are tuition free and open to all students.

We are focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math education to prepare students for the careers of the future.

📚🏐 There’s some exciting learning happening at FWSA this week!

In Reading, students are putting their creativity to work by writing their own science fiction stories, while in PE, they’re wrapping up their volleyball unit. The classes were so engaging that even Mrs. Harris had to join in on the fun!

🎉 At FWSA, Fridays are for celebrating!

Students gave shout-outs to their classmates, teachers recognized students who demonstrated our core values, and Mrs. Saucedo was named Kraken of the Week for always putting students first. 💚

We love ending each week by celebrating the people and positive choices that make our school community special.

🔬🏐 From science to volleyball, our students were fully engaged in learning!

Students applied what they’ve learned about density to real-world situations and practiced bumping the ball to teammates in PE.

📸 And tomorrow is PICTURE DAY! Students should arrive on time and in full uniform: green polo, black belt, khaki/navy/black bottoms, and sneakers.

We’re excited to capture another milestone in our founding year! 💚

💚 Another great week of learning at FWSA!

Students created comic strips in reading, used basketball stats to practice ratios, and met 1:1 with their Individualized Learning teacher to set goals for the year.

As a reminder, there is no school for students tomorrow while our staff participates in professional development. We look forward to welcoming everyone back Monday, August 24 at 7:40 AM!

Students are exploring density with hands-on sink-or-float experiments in science, telling their own stories through personal narratives in writing, and starting to code their first computer program.

💚 Another great day of learning at FWSA!

Today, students acted out how solids, liquids, and gases move in science, tackled ratios using real-world examples, and kicked off computer science by exploring how technology makes our lives easier.

💚 What an AMAZING first week!

Our students earned 5,000+ merits in just four days for making positive choices, and Mr. Mendoza was named our first Kraken of the Week for showing Teamwork! 🎉
