We're back on Thursday with the February edition of the Stop Six Mobile Food Bank distribution! We start no later than 10 a.m. and often run out of food before 11 a.m., so set your alarms to be there early so we can help you with your family food needs. You won't even have to exit your car, because our great volunteers will load the food in your vehicle for you! Please share with family and friends who need a hand-up this month with their food.

If you or someone you know is food insecure, please pass this along. We host a monthly food drive across the street from Sunrise Elementary School that is open to everyone. It's a drive through event, so you don't even have to leave your car to receive a family food box from the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Distribution starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until food runs out (usually less than an hour), so don't be late!

Almost three dozen students enrolled in Fort Worth ISD Adult Education Integrated Education and Training classes were recently recognized for their efforts during a graduation ceremony held at the historic I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and Visual Performing Arts high school. During the celebration, department officials congratulated the students and presented them with certificates of graduation representing the various career paths they had chosen through the IET program. In addition, two graduates gave speeches about their unique journeys and how the program has opened career opportunities for them they never would have dreamed possible. Career training partners for this cohort included Goodwill Industries, Lonestar Truck Driving Academy, On Track Trucking Stone Academy, Tarrant County College, and the Translation and Interpretation Network.
